'Message Subject' is optional in Send Message
« on: March 21, 2017, 08:13:43 AM »
Hello all!

Some registered users either do not know or do not pay attention to the message subject when they were going to send a message to another registered user and the message could not be sent. To ease this issue for users, how can I do to make the message subject is optional, that either there is a subject or not, the message still can be sent?

Many thanks

Well they should know as the subject field in messages and emails has universally always been required. It also pops up a warning message when it's not filled out.

The subject for messages and emails is rather important and not really a good idea to make it optional. It might be possible but would require custom coding to core files.
