My site host have limitations over limitations... Please help me finde a proper host for my Etano site.

First they start with this ( I banned the host name as i do not know if I am allowed to post it here )

You can send no more than 19 emails per minute (using PHP) and 9 emails/minute (using SMTP). Additionally, You are allowed to send up to 100 emails/hour from Your webmail account.

We are sorry for any inconveniences, but this is how the system works. We cannot remove this mass mail limitation as it would result in our mail server IP being blacklisted very fast. The server hosts hundreds of domains, and it is not possible to track everyone in real time so we must run this software to disable mass mailers.

The HostName.com website performance spe######ts have been monitoring your website and recently noticed that it is constantly utilizing increasing amount of CPU time.

As you know, your account is hosted on a shared hosting server and thus sharing the resources of the web server with other customers\' websites. As a result your website uses more CPU time than the shared server limit and affects the performance of the whole shared server.

We would like to explain the difference between CPU and bandwidth. Bandwidth is an account feature, it\'s unlimited. The CPU (Central Processing Unit) is a shared server resource. Therefore, when there are too many requests made to your site (including but not limited to many visitors and/or slow MySQL queries), your account makes excessive requests to the server which consumes an abnormally high amount of CPU.
If a simple world, let say server can process 100 identical PHP Scripts per second, and 30 of these processed scripts belongs to your account. That means your account is utilizing 30% of CPU which is above normal level.

As per our terms of service agreement, we allow 20% of CPU quota usage per account.

Some Etano users on the forums have recommended hostforweb.com
 

Before choosing a host, check with them to see if they support the basic requirements for Etano:

*PHP 5.x - as an Apache module, NOT in FastCGI

*Preferably with mod_suPHP "disabled" to prevent potential permission issues

*MySQL 5.x

*Ability to run cron jobs every 5 minutes

*GD 2.x  Library for the dynamic creation of images

* FreeType support enabled for captcha

*Supports uploading and editing of .htaccess files

I do not understand why the current host has Etano autoinstaller available if it can not meet these requirements!!!

I can host your site also, I have etano sites that run flawlessly on my server.

If you are running on a cpanel environment you will discover issues with etano that require more work, it will run there but takes more work. I highly recommend a plesk environment for running etano. I have some etano sites running on my servers in a plesk environment that install and run flawlessly.

I like hosting-marketeers.com. For the cheapest package ($5) I'm allowed to run cron each 10 minutes, which works for me since I'm just starting and dont have a lot of members. The hoster also allows you to send a mailing, as long as you first ask permission so they can remove the limit for a short time. Over all they are very helpfull and respond fast to your questions.
