Have you created a blog and written a post yet?

If you have and it's not showing up, try regenerating the blogs by using this URL in your browser http://www.yourserver.com/tools/cron/gen_blogs_full.php

It will produce a blank page as it's only doing a regeneration but any new blogs or posts trapped in the cache will be released.

After regenerating the blogs, if the blogs still don't show up, check to make sure you have created the blog properly. You need to first create a Category for your blog, once you have created a category you can then post a topic and write your blog by clicking the "New Post" link next to the category.

If regenerating the blogs does work, you need to check to make sure your crons are working properly. Search the forums, there's plenty of threads and posts about cron issues.

I just loaded Etano for the first time through Softaculous.  It was a clean install and it seems to work okay.  I checked that the cron job was installed and it was setup automatically during the install.

I am having an issue with a user blog showing.  I first created the catergory and then created the post.  I regenerated the skin a few times and still not showing.  It shows in the Admin area and User Area, but not under the 'Blogs' tab.  I approved it in Admin.  Pretty much tried everything.  I even searched on the forum for some answers and only found your post Don, which is the same as above.

Please let me know what I am doing wrong in the setup.

Thanks

Hello,

I just started using Etano and am testing it out.  I have the blogs set to be approved.  I logged in as a new user and created a new blog and post.  I then approved it as Admin.  I checked my Cron Jobs and its looks right as it was setup on the initial install with Softaculous.  I even clicked the regenerate skin button a few times.  I can see the blog posts in the Admin area as being approved.  I can see the blog posts in the User Profile.  I just can't see them when logged out or logged in as the user when going to the Blogs Tab.  There is nothing there.  It's been a few days.  How do I know if the Cron Jobs is working or not.  It's setup right per your install guide too.

The domain is www filipinaandsingle com/filipinas/filipina-dating.  I put it in a subfolder.  This is my site in test and just trying to get Etna to work with the Blogs.

Please let me know what I am doing wrong.

Thanks

Are you sure you actually created a "blog post"? If all you did is just create a title for a blog, then wrote a description for it, it won't show as a blog, this just creates a category for managing your blogs which then allows you to write your blog posts to.

Try reading this thread as it may explain things a bit better ....
http://forum.datemill.com/general/blogs-problem-2267.0.html

As for your cron jobs try reading these threads  ....
http://forum.datemill.com/general/replaced-profile-images-not-refreshing-front-page-3015.msg13192.html#msg13192
http://forum.datemill.com/general/strange-result-cron-job-2884.0.html
http://forum.datemill.com/general/have-regenerate-skin-show-new-profiles-2917.0.html

In Cpanel where you create cron jobs there should be a field where you can enter an email address to send you results of any errors if the crons aren't functioning properly.
