There's something I'm missing. It seems at times the site runs great, but there is always exceptions. I wonder if I'm missing something in the cron jobs. This is one of the cron entries I've made /web/cgi-bin/php5 "$HOME/html/milwaukeedating/tools/cron/cron_web.php?lk=1234567890ABCDEFGHIJKL" and it's obviously the right path, because there is a browse feature that allowed me to point right to it and then add the LK.
Sometimes new users join and they show up right away. Sometimes when they don't show up, I run regenerate skins and maually launch the 3 cron jobs and then they show up. Sometimes they won't show up no matter what I do. I've tried impersonating the user and resaving their profile entries, but that doesn't help. But it seems that most of the time, but not all of the time, they magically start to appear in searches the next day. The cron jobs are set to run each hour, because that's the lowest frequency I can pick on Godaddy.
The other problem I can't seem to lick is when I go to the admin console and members, there is a search box there and I hit browse all members and 10 users come up and it shows there are 3 pages which is correct. but when I click on 2 or 3, I get the search options back with a message that says "no members found meeting your search criteria". also if I drop down the box that says how many users to display and pick 20, same result.
Does anyone have any of these experiences?
Also, another issue is that I would like to get rid of a couple of default check boxes, like in the advanced search, slim is checked by default. It appears to me that that search form is created by javascript and can't tell yet where the search_more.php page gets it from. Does anyone know where I can find the file that has that "slim" checkbox checked by default?
Also, it appears that the users who don't sign out stay online forever. In the admin page there is an option of show off line after inactivity of xx minutes, but that doesn't seem to be working. Should that option be logging them off?
Thank you
